Presenter: Bridget Aliaga, MPH, Behavioral Health Program Manager, Women’s Services, CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) Bridget Aliaga, MPH is a Behavioral Health Program Manager for Women’s Services at the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS.)  She is the Program Manager for Women’s REACH (Recovery, Engagement, Access, Coaching, and Healing), a statewide program which utilizes peer supports to help pregnant and parenting women and families impacted by substance use connect to treatment and recovery resources in their communities. She is also the manager for the Women’s Community Transition Support Program (WCTS), a community-based case management program that supports the recovery and independent living of pregnant/parenting women and birthing people exiting the DMHAS Women and Children’s system of care. Additionally, she supports the oversight and implementation of SEPI CT (Substance Exposed Pregnancy Initiative) and the statewide efforts to advance CAPTA and Family Care Plan knowledge and implementation. She also assists in the evaluation and auditing processes for the programs and contracts within her division and provides DMHAS representation at several state collaboratives focused on maternal and child health.  Prior to her role at DMHAS, Bridget worked as a Regional Substance Use Continuum of Care Facilitator at Dartmouth Health in New Hampshire and has a passionate reproductive health background having spent time as a Bilingual Outreach and Education Specialist at Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York.   Bridget received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Albany and her master’s in public health with a concentration in Health Services Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
